The Student Chapter of International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE) is pleased to announce the third Symposium on Industrial Ecology for Young Professionals (SIEYP III). This symposium is specifically designed for young professionals, including graduate students and post-doctoral researchers.
The theme of SIEYP III is “Applying IE research toward transitions.” For young professionals in the field, making the concrete connection between their research and work to that of transition initiatives can be a challenge.

The primary goal of this symposium is to provide an opportunity for young professionals who perform research in the area of industrial ecology (IE) to present their ongoing research, receive constructive feedback, and network with senior professionals in their fields. In particular, the event will enable young professionals to establish a network of IE researchers for ongoing exchange and future collaborations.

SIEYP III, held at University of Ulsan, South Korea on June 29, will immediately follow the ISIE 2013 Conference.
ISIE 2013 is a multi-disciplinary event for engineers, scientists, researchers in the social science, and decision makers in the public and private sectors focusing on science, systems, and sustainability.
SIEYP will be a good venue for young professionals to reflect on the information from the ISIE conference and discuss in more detail among peers.
