Gordon Research Conference on Industrial Ecology 2004
The 2004 Gordon Research Conference on Industrial Ecology has been approved and will be held on August 1-6, 2004 at the Queens College, Oxford in the UK. Note that the venue has been changed from our earlier request to hold the Conference in Florence. The meeting will be chaired by Marina Fischer-Kowalski (IFF, University of Vienna), with Valerie Thomas (Princeton University) as vice-chair. Marina promises that this strong all-female team can handle the task of moving industrial ecology from its probationary status into the mature status of full citizenship among the Gordon Conferences.
They will start to plan the conference in detail after the next ISIE International meeting in June. They invite everybody to help them with suggestions on topics or speakers (contact marina.fischer-kowalski@univie.ac.at or vmthomas@princeton.edu). Mark your calendars now. We will need strong attendance and great presentations to strengthen our place in the Gordon Conferences.
