Intteruniversity Master of Science Programme

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Leiden University, the Faculty of Applied Sciences of Delft University of Technology, and the Facult of Social Sciences of Erasmus University Rotterdam have joined forces to provide an international Master programme on Industrial Ecology. Coordinating institute is the Institute of Environmental Sciences of Leiden University (CML).

Objectives of the programme
Graduated Industrial Ecologists will be able to analyse sustainability dilemmas in real life, to create and initiate innovative technological solutions and to come up with tools and strategies for management and policy in the field of Industrial ecology.

Degree
The Programme Inudtrial Ecology starts in September 2004 as a variant of the MSc Programmes Chemistry (University of Leiden, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) and Chemical Engineering (Delft University of Technology, Gaculty of APplied Sciences). In principle, the Students will receive a degree in either Cheminstry of CHemical Engineering with a specialisation in Industrial Ecology. However, if the official accreditation for an independent Industrial Ecology programme is granted before August 2006, the degree received will be in Industrial Ecology.
