Product Re-X: Reuse, Recycling, Recovery, Remanufacturing. Innovations in Business Models, Product Design and Economic Development
On June 21, 2006, the day after the MSOM conference, we will have an industry-academic workshop on "Product Re-X: Reuse, Recycling, Recovery, Remanufacturing. Innovations in Business Models, Product Design and Economic Development."
The workshop (program in attachment) will consist of sessions on Business Models, Globalization, Materials and Design Innovations, and Economic Development Opportunities. Each session will be in panel format, with a mix of panel participants from industry, academia, government and NGOs.
The workshop is organized by the ECLIPS (Expanding Closed-Loops in Production Systems) Focused Research Program. This group includes B-school faculty (Mark Ferguson, Ravi Subramanian, Beril Toktay) as well as Engineering (Bert Bras, Matthew Realff, Jane Ammons), Public Policy (Valerie Thomas) and City & Regional Planning (Nancey Leigh) faculty.
