The Design Society
Dear colleague
This mail comes to you as an invitation to join in an active
network on the subject of ecodesign.
The Design Society* has initiated topic-oriented Special Interest
Groups (SIGs) in order to foster fruitful research discussion in a
series of focus areas. One of these SIGs addresses the topic of
ecodesign, or sustainable product development as it is also known.
We would hereby like to invite you as a practitioner (researcher,
industrialist or policy-maker) in the area of ecodesign to our
Special Interest Group. To give you an idea of the type of
activities we are planning, we are pleased to enclose our first
newsletter, which describes some of our plans. We also have a
website** that we are currently working on establishing, which
should become an important portal for exchange of news, information
and viewpoints within the Ecodesign SIG.
In order to make the Ecodesign SIG user-oriented we are very much
interested in your opinions and expectations regarding involvement,
potential membership and activities in the Ecodesign SIG. We invite
you therefore to carry out a short survey by following this
link***. By filling in this survey you will register your interest
in joining our Ecodesign SIG. Please note that membership of the
SIG is free of charge.
Please feel free to forward this mail to an interested colleague.
We look forward to hearing from you and to an active and inspiring
network collaboration.
Best regards from
The Ecodesign SIG steering committee:
Niki Bey, Casper Boks, Mattias Lindahl, Wolfgang Wimmer and Tim
McAloone
