The fifth biannual ECANUSA conference is on the way for October 14-16, 2010, and we invite you to submit scientific papers and posters for presentation. ECANUSA focuses on scientific and practical issues of sustainable management and utilization of the forests and the environment of eastern Canada and the USA. We expect a wide variety of papers addressing, among others, the following themes:

•    Wood products and forest operations /engineering
•    Silviculture & Forest production
•    Forest ecology, physiology, soils and carbon, genetics
•    Forest policy and socio-economic concerns
•    Forest planning, modeling and information systems
•    Natural disturbance regimes

Communications may be made either as an oral presentation or a poster. Standard oral presentations will be organized with a series of parallel technical sessions, with themes determined once submissions have been received. Posters will be displayed on Friday (all day) and Saturday (morning) with a poster session during lunch on Friday. The venue for all sessions will be new facilities in the Pavillon Simon-Larouche of the Université de Moncton, campus d’Edmundston, Nouveau-Brunswick.

This year, ECANUSA will be a bilingual conference and you may submit an abstract and present your proposed paper or poster in either English or French. We are hoping to provide simultaneous translation services, but this will depend upon financing and the number of participants. However, if possible, we also ask that you prepare visual support material for oral presentations in the language other than the one you will use for the presentation. Posters may be presented in either English or French, but again we ask that an abstract be provided in the other language if possible. In your submission, please indicate your preferred language for presentation and if you are also able to present in a second language.

If you wish to make an oral presentation or participate to the poster session, please submit the following information to ECANUSA organizers by July 21st, 2010:
•    Title;
•    Author and coauthors names, institutions and email addresses;
•    An abstract of no more than 200 words;
•    Your choice of oral or poster presentation;
